The Match Factory is a world sales and production company dedicated to bringing the finest in arthouse cinema to the international market. We are passionate about working with films of signature and vision from around the globe. The Match Factory has built strong relationships with acclaimed directors and producers, while working simultaneously to discover promising new filmmakers with a powerful original style. Since 2022, The Match Factory is part of MUBI.
Alphapanda has been handling the social media presence of The Match Factory since Cannes 2024. The first move was to introduce new templates with a very powerful and recognisable red colour that acts as chromatic signature for most visuals. As a sales agent, the communication is uniquely targeted at film professionals, mainly centred around festival selections and award campaigns. From announcements to red carpets, from positive reviews to Oscar nominations, we focus on all elements that bring their stellar line-up into the spotlight.

The Strategy
We have divided post types into clear categories with a defined template for each: festival selection, award nomination and win, press quote coverage, new project announcement. In addition, we also create original content, such as reels, to add diversity to the timeline and to highlight specific aspects or elements of a film that could be of appeal for followers. A-festivals are obviously a special time in the collaboration because they require our teams to be close-knit so they can coordinate the launch of red carpet photos and the selection of press quotes. Considering the prestige of the films and the pedigree of the directors The Match Factory is working with, precision and a strict approval process are an absolute key factor in this project.
