Takumi and his daughter live in Mizubiki Village, close to Tokyo. One day, the village inhabitants become aware of a plan to build a glamping site near Takumi’s house, offering city residents a comfortable escape to nature.
Swiss distributor Cineworx hired us as part of our ongoing deal to create a small social media package for the theatrical release of Ryusuke Hamaguchi wonderful film EVIL DOES NOT EXIST. In order to ride the wave of the success of the director’s previous (very buzzy) film Ride my Car, it appeared essential to us to give an already cult flair to the entire campaign. This was achieved by creating visuals that underline the stunning cinematography and by creating very impactful videos. Our split screen videos manages to create that effect on the audience quite effectively. We also decided to play with the title of the film to underline its ambiguity and highlight the complexity of the film and its characters. We also created an animated poster, in which the subtle movement of the water is hardly perceived at first glance, suggesting a subtle and contemplative film.

Ongoing collaboration
Since 2023, Alphapanda has been collaborating with Cineworx, first advising them on the social media strategy for their releases and later creating social media packages for them. Through this ongoing relationship, we’ve been able to work on very strong and impactful titles, such as Alice Diop’s SAINT OMER, Levan Akin’s CROSSING and Guillaume Senez’ A MISSING PART.
