Festival launch, digital asset package, release campaign

Eismayer is one of the toughest training officers in the Austrian armed forces, ruthless with recruits and unwavering in his discipline. His closeted existence is shaken to the core when he starts to fall in love with Falak, a new recruit who embraces his homosexuality.

EISMAYER is our third collaboration with Golden Girls in Vienna. The fact that it is based on well-known true events in Austria meant putting together a significantly different strategy for the local market and for the international market.
The campaign started at the Critics’ Week at Venice 2022, followed by the Austrian campaign for Filmladen. Our assets were then used by Salzgeber in Germany, Peccadillo Pictures in the UK and Optimale in France.

The highlights
The highlight of the campaign was without a doubt the idea we had to bring the real Eismayer and Fallak in their army uniform to the red carpet of the Venice Biennale.
This became such an iconic moment that got us a lot of visibility both amongst festival attendees and in Austria and gave us great material for our campaign.
We’re also very proud of the emoji visuals we created for the theatrical release, so simple, yet so effective!

Digital asset package
The digital asset package also included reels that underline the complex personality of the main character by highlighting two aspects of his personality. We also created short mood videos for the international market as well as original interview formats for social media, in which we created a dialogue between the real character and the actor who plays him in the film. This wide variety of assets allowed to target very different audience segments: fans of the military, LGBTIQ+ communities and arthouse film lovers.
